Finland vs. Sweden Pinball Championships

The national team match consists of six rounds of play, alternating between Classic and Modern machines. In total, three rounds will be played on each machine type.

The number of machines used per round is based on the number of players on the visiting team. For example, if the visiting team has 21 players, the round will be played on seven machines.

Each machine will have three players from each country. Players decide among themselves who plays on which randomly assigned machine. Every player plays one ball on their assigned machine. The country whose three players score a higher combined total wins that machine and earns one point for the team.

At the end of the round, all machine victories are counted. After six rounds, the country with the most points wins the national match.

Special cases:

If the number of players is not divisible by three, some machines may be played in two-player pair format. In this case, each player plays two balls, and the team with the higher combined score wins that machine.

If one team has more players (e.g., Finland has more players than Sweden), the players themselves will decide who sits out during that round to allow balanced pairings on all machines.

Tiebreak Situation

If the match ends in a tie, a tiebreak game is played. One machine is randomly selected, and the format will be the same as during qualification.

Each team selects three players, and each player plays one ball on the selected machine. The team with the higher total score from their three players wins the match and is declared the national team champion.

The rulebook will be further refined closer to the event.
